Every wedding is unique and special. But, some are truly epic. Imagine stepping into a land between two worlds, similar to Lord of the Rings, but in this case- it is the magical Addison wedding venue. The great banyan trees, as old as time, made this location an enchanting one for Hanna and Zach. So, let’s see where it all began.

Their first date

It was 2011 and the start of fall classes. Physics class is complex, and some may say uninteresting, but it would furever change Hanna and Zach’s lives. It was the first time they met and laid eyes on each other. Little did they know that one day their lives would be tied together in the most magnificent way. The couple also met in the engineering and math clubs, so fate clearly had a role in their first date.

Their first date was one that Hanna always remembers with fondness. ‘It was very cute; we hung out on the beach at night for hours. We walked along the coast and talked until we happened upon a turtle laying eggs. We watched for a while and eventually walked back to the car around 2 am.’. From turtles to equations, the two had a lot in common. The relationship started blooming.

It was Meant to Be….

When asking each of them how they knew they were the one, Hanna said, ‘When I wanted to go to Houston for grad school, he didn’t hesitate to encourage me to follow my dreams. He always supported my ambitious goals during my academic and professional career.’. Zach added, ‘Hanna was there for me every time I was at a low point with my self-esteem, knowing the exact ways to pull me back up. Now I am doing better than ever. I couldn’t live without her.’ Zach made sure their story continued and proposed on a snowboarding trip on top of a mountain. She of course said ‘yes’.

What do you love most about the other?

Hanna and Zach’s love for each other is palpable. So naturally, we wanted to know what characteristics they love most about each other. Hanna responded ‘He always reminds me to take time to relax. He pushes me to never settle for less than what I want in life, which sometimes I forget to do. Zach has shown me how having fun is just as important as working in life, and I have had more adventures with him! He has also been there for me through the hardest setbacks in my life.’.
Zach added, ‘She is caring in ways most people aren’t, she loves me, and if she is as good a mom as a dog mom, I will be a lucky man..’

PICKING THE WEDDING VENUE

It only made sense that these two would tie the knot. And tie the knot Hanna and Zach did on a day as magical as their love for each other.

March is one of the best and most popular months to get married here in Florida. Luckily, they planned their wedding more than a year and a half in advance and were able to book the venue of their dreams. As a result, their quest to create their dream wedding elegantly unfolded on the cobblestones of The Addison.

Picking The Other Wedding Vendors

Picking the other vendors came naturally. The couple did some research on The Knot and on the preferred vendor list and chose them in accordance with their availability and the style they offered. That was the easy part of everything.

Now for the most impawtant part, let’s talk about the dog of honor. But, first, we wanted to know about Pippin and how he came into their lives. So get your tissues ready because this will pull at your heartstrings.

Some stories just melt your heart

Hanna told us that she was going through rough times in her personal and professional life and was feeling quite depressed and overwhelmed with everything. After the passing of her brother, Zach suggested that they get a dog. On the day of her brother’s funeral, she went online and saw a red Australian shepherd named Caleb, the same as her brother’s name. Caleb, meaning loyal and friend in the Bible, was fate’s way of telling her to seek her future. Hanna took it as a sign and began her search for a dog with features. They found the lucky puppy and brought him home on June 8, 2019, their seventh dating anniversary. He has been the best dog ever since! Destiny works in mysterious ways. As J.R.R. Tolkien said best, “I would rather spend one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.”.

Hanna has always been a massive fan of Lord of the Rings- Pippin is one of her favorite characters. Pippin’s loyalty, smarts, and perseverance are precisely the qualities she saw in her new four-legged family member. So, of course, when it was time for their wedding Hanna knew that Pippin would be part of the big day. ‘Other than Zach, Pippin is the most loyal man,’ said Hanna. Pippin inspired her to have him present on his parents’ special day.

Contrary to Gandalf’s famous line “You shall not pass,” “Pippin shall pass” in Zach and Hanna’s story. Finding a dog sitter for the wedding was easy. The Addison recommended Furever Us, and since the first meeting, Hanna knew that Pippin was in good hands. Pippin also gave his paw of approval.

As you could guess, Hanna and Zach went with a Lord of the Rings theme for their wedding. A very whimsical, romantic vibe. Pippin even had a custom-made bandana and ring pouch just for him. I had the great honor of accompanying Pippin, the dog of honor, down the aisle. He walked straight to his dad, who was waiting for him with open and loving arms. With Pippin’s supervision, everything went flawless. Then, when it was time for the officiant to declare Hanna and Zack as husband and wife, Pippin also chimed in to ensure everyone knew that he agreed. It could not have been more perfect.

Future Plans

The future has so many good things in store for this sweet trio. Zach and Hanna would love to take Pippin to as many places as possible. One of his favorite activities is hiking. He has a lot of energy to burn and land to explore. Together they have already gone backpacking in Colorado, as well as boating and kayaking in Florida. They can take Pippin anywhere as he is such a good boy.

We are so happy to share this special moment with Hanna, Zach, and Pippin. This special dog-of-honor has some very cool tricks ‘up his sleeve’ and was so entertaining. It makes our life as wedding dog sitters much easier! We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
